Western Legacy Ambassadors, Inc. is dedicated to inspiring and empowering young women to preserve and promote the traditions, values, and heritage of the American West. Through leadership, horsemanship, agricultural advocacy, and community service, Ambassadors serve as role models representing the enduring spirit of western culture throughout Colorado.

This program was created to encourage young women to embrace leadership, build confidence, and proudly represent the traditions and values of the American West.
Ambassadors serve as role models within their communities while promoting agriculture, horsemanship, rodeo, and western heritage.
Through appearances, educational opportunities, and community service, participants develop valuable life skills while representing the enduring spirit of the western way of life. The Western Legacy Ambassador program is built on the belief that strong leaders grow through service, dedication, and a genuine appreciation for community and tradition.
Western Legacy Ambassadors was founded by volunteers with more than three decades of combined experience supporting youth development, rodeo, and western heritage initiatives across Colorado.
This experience includes organizing equestrian programs, supporting western royalty programs, serving fairs and rodeos, and working in leadership roles with organizations such as the National Western Stock Show.
This foundation allows us to build a program that provides meaningful leadership opportunities while preserving and promoting the traditions, values, and work ethic of the American West.

Western Legacy Ambassadors is built on more than appearances—it’s built on experience, education, and understanding the industries that define the western way of life.
From agriculture to rodeo, our Ambassadors will learn what it means to represent something bigger than themselves.

Every opportunity—every visit, every connection, every conversation—helps shape these young women into leaders.
They leave this program with more than memories—they leave with knowledge, confidence, and purpose.

True leadership is built on a strong foundation—one rooted in tradition and driven by purpose.
Through hands-on experiences in agriculture and mentorship from industry leaders, our Ambassadors will gain a deeper understanding of where it all begins.

Our Ambassadors don’t just show up—they understand what they represent.
Through hands-on experiences and direct connection with industry leaders, they will gain real-world knowledge in agriculture, livestock care, and the rodeo industry.
This is what sets Western Legacy Ambassadors apart.

Western Legacy Ambassadors, Inc. is committed to preserving the traditions, values, and industries that define the American West.
By investing in young women today, we are helping ensure this way of life continues for generations to come.

As a Western Legacy Ambassador, I pledge to represent the traditions, values, and heritage of the American West with pride, integrity, and respect. I will honor the responsibilities of my title, support my fellow ambassadors, and represent Western Legacy Ambassadors with professionalism and gratitude for the sponsors, volunteers, and community members who make this program possible.
“Tradition carried forward by the leaders of tomorrow.”
Wearing the Ambassador crown represents more than holding a title. It is a commitment to leadership, service, and the preservation of the traditions that define the American West. Ambassadors serve as representatives of the western way of life—promoting agriculture, horsemanship, rodeo, and the values of integrity, hard work, and community involvement. Each appearance, conversation, and interaction is an opportunity to inspire others and share the importance of western heritage with new generations.
Crown: The crown symbolizes responsibility as much as honor. Ambassadors are expected to carry themselves with confidence, kindness, and professionalism while serving as positive role models within their communities. Honoring the past. Inspiring the future.

Ambassador Title Year
The Ambassador title year runs from May to May and begins immediately following the annual Title Selection event. Newly selected Ambassadors will begin their official duties after being introduced at the End of Year Ambassador Reception and Dinner. Western Legacy Ambassadors is more than a royalty program. It is a leadership and educational experience designed to develop confident, capable young women while preserving and promoting the traditions of the western way of life.
Our Ambassadors do not just represent western heritage—they gain real-world experience, build meaningful connections, and develop the knowledge and leadership skills to carry it forward.
Western Legacy Ambassadors, Inc. is built on a structured experience designed to connect participants to the industries, values, and communities that define the western way of life. The program is centered around five core elements, each offering meaningful opportunities for personal growth, real-world experience, and partner involvement.
Western Heritage & Community Engagement
Ambassadors actively represent the traditions and values of the American West through participation in community events, rodeos, agricultural programs, and charitable initiatives. Through these experiences, participants develop confidence in public settings while learning the importance of professionalism, service, and representing something greater than themselves. This element helps Ambassadors build strong connections within their communities while serving as positive role models.
Agriculture & Land Stewardship “Where it all begins.”
A foundational component of the program is helping Ambassadors understand the direct connection between land, agriculture, and the western way of life. Participants gain hands-on exposure to agricultural practices, livestock care, and land management while learning how these industries sustain communities and traditions. This element fosters an appreciation for responsible land use, and the vital role agriculture plays in everyday life.
This core element provides participants with direct access to industry professionals who shape the western, agricultural, and rodeo communities. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and real-world exposure, Ambassadors deepen their understanding of:
Industry & Infrastructure Awareness
Western Legacy Ambassadors provides a unique opportunity for participants to explore the industries that build, support, and sustain our communities. Through exposure to construction, environmental services, utilities, and related fields, Ambassadors gain a broader understanding of how infrastructure connects to agriculture, land use, and community development. This element introduces participants to potential career pathways while expanding their awareness of industries they may not otherwise experience.
Outdoor Heritage & Conservation
Ambassadors are introduced to the importance of preserving Colorado’s natural resources and outdoor traditions. Through educational experiences and community involvement, participants learn about wildlife conservation, ethical outdoor practices, and the balance between land use, agriculture, and environmental stewardship. This element encourages respect for natural resources and promotes responsible engagement in outdoor environments.
Ambassadors may also engage in volunteer service, educational events, or outreach efforts that support conservation awareness and responsible outdoor recreation. These experiences are intended to help young leaders develop an appreciation for the balance between wildlife, land stewardship, agriculture, and outdoor traditions in Colorado.
Leadership Development & Personal Growth
At the core of the program is a commitment to developing confident, capable young leaders.
Ambassadors build essential life skills through real-world experiences, including public speaking, communication, teamwork, responsibility, and community engagement. This element prepares participants to lead with confidence, represent their communities with integrity, and carry forward the values of the western way of life.
